How it all started.
The first time that I was realy impressed by an Affenpinscher
was in 1996 when I visited the United States.
I thought they were absolutely stunning. I decided that if I
could find a excellent specimen I definitely wanted to have one,.
I discussed the possibility with my good friend Carine and we
deliberated how nice it would be if we could import a nice dog
and introduce a good example of the breed in the Netherlands
Because we are both in different breeds,
Carine has Papillons and I myself Boston Terriers, we decided to
call my friend Mr. Allen Buckner to help us in order to find a
good Afffenpincher. Beeing a well respected judge Mr. Allen
Buckner has much expertise and great knowledge of the available
top breeders in the United States.
The first thing he told us was to be patient which we were……………..
We waited almost four years until we got a phone call which
stated that there was a possibility to obtain a wonderful
Affenpinscher. The dog in question had the bloodlines from the
celebrated Yarrow kennel. The dog’s name was Kyleakin Space
Cowboy.
The minute I saw Kyleakin Space Cowboy, aka "Kicker" I knew he
would be a excellent show dog. He had that certain X-factor
about him, just unbelievable!
We decided to take him
to the Netherlands and when we drove home from the airport he
looked like a tourist enjoying a new country. Carine and I
couldn’t help laughing every time we saw his little monkey face,
he was so cute and funny!
From the first time he entered the showring
he practicaly continuously obtained BOB’s. He obtained many
titles and Group Placements.
|
He also got a Group First and a
Best in Show. The “crowns on his career” were definitely his
Crufts title and last but not least his election as the Group
1st winner at the Dutch Top Dog election 2004. This was a very
exceptional victory for a Affenpinscher.
“Kicker”
is the undisputed top winning Affenpinscher in Europe.
Besides all these beautiful titles there’s
a, another special thing about “Kicker”…………..he’s just a
wonderful dog to own. Through the years we became close friends
and he’s totaly devoted to me. Kicker was an true “eye opener”
and he proved that an Affenpinscher could do so much more then
many could imagine……..
After showing him we knew it was time to
continue with this wonderful breed. We decided to mate him to
Amazing Grace who is from Finnish bloodlines. Grace is not a
true show bitch but she does have many good qualities, so we had
good hopes for the combination with Kicker.
Amazing Grace gave birth to two bitches and
one dog. We decided to keep them all in order to see how the
would develop. Their names are: Bling Bling Tinkerbell and King
Kong. The combination proved to be very succesful.
Kicker’s daughter Bling Bling did great on
the dog shows. At the Winner Dog Show in Amsterdam she even beat
her father and she obtained the Junior Winner title, the Winner
title and got elected Best of Breed all this at the age of just
11 months!
That’s when we started the foundation of
our Affenpinscher kennel:

The latest addition to our fine collection
Affenpinschers is our stunning male Tamarin Tamino Rheingold. Tamino is
bred by Mrs Jaqueline Stacy and he is stepping in Kicker’s footsteps.
Whenever he entered the ring he got always elected Best of breed. He’s
also a wonderful little dog to own and to have around. He’s very
outgoing and therefore a excellent show man in the ring. He’s always in
a good mood and he just has all the good things one could wish for in an
Affenpinscher.
We hope you’ll enjoy our Affens as much as we do!
